No Thanks, Kid: Barn Cats Uninterested in Baby Goats' Efforts to Engage

Goat kids at a Maine farm tried to engage with some of the resident barn cats, but were unsuccessful as the felines remained uninterested.

Footage captured by Hope Hall of Sunflower Farm Creamery, located in Cumberland, shows the tiny goats following the aloof cats around.

“You know cats, the goat kids all think they are magic but the cats just can’t be bothered,” she wrote in an August 8 YouTube upload.

“I love to see the kids try to sneak up and kiss them! The cats almost always give them a big no thanks,” Hall wrote. “Good thing the goats get plenty of kisses from humans!”

An estimated “60 playful little goats” are born on the farm each spring, Hall said. Her YouTube channel features a wealth of videos showing the daily life and adventures of the farm’s inhabitants. Credit: Hope Hall via Storyful
