Noah Centineo may be the Internet's boyfriend, but it turns out he may have gotten to that status by some rather devious means.

Lana Condor, the lead star of Netflix movie To All the Boys I've Loved Before, has opened up about how her co-star Centineo managed to bag his part (apart from being talented and good looking, of course).

Condor claimed that Centineo managed to swerve revealing his height to producers in every audition by doing strange poses and hunching.

However, the truth that he was much taller than Condor came about when filming actually began on the Netflix movie, by which time it was too late.

"The funny thing is, Lara Jean wears these big platforms pretty much throughout the whole movie. I love those platforms," Condor said at the Vulture Festival. "But the reason we had them is because I don't think the producers realised how much Noah is taller than me."

Recalling the process, she added: "When we auditioned and chemistry read together, at the end of the chemistry read you have to stand next to the person you read with and you have to take a picture to show the producers the height difference.

"When we went into a camera test, after we'd already been cast, I didn't make it into a frame with him, because he's that much taller than me. I heard the producers were like, 'What is happening?'

"Later, Noah told me he would stand behind me and scrunch down to make himself look shorter. So, those shoes hold a special place in my heart. It's sweet, that's how much he wanted the job."

Well, we guess it paid off.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before is available to watch on Netflix now.
