Noah Cyrus speaks out on Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth marriage rumours
Be still, our shipper hearts: Noah Cyrus has cleared up rumours that her sister Miley Cyrus recently tied the knot with her fiancé Liam Hemsworth.
Fans were sent into a social media frenzy after Miley’s father, Billy Ray Cyrus, posted a photo of his 24-year-old daughter, smiling in a white dress, which was accompanied by a gushing caption about happiness.
Taking to Instagram last week, he wrote: “I’m so happy… you are happy @mileycyrus.”
So naturally, the alarm bells (or should we say wedding bells?) were raised amongst Miley’s Smilers, with many jumping to the conclusion that the couple had recently become ‘Mr. and Mrs’.
Sadly though, there’s no need to rush out and buy a wedding present just yet, as the Wrecking Ball singer’s younger sister has set the record straight on the speculation by clarifying Miam’s marital status.
“She’s not married,” the 17-year-old told Entertainment Tonight at the Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday, adding that the Hannah Montana star was “probably just doing something fun” in the photo.
Still, Noah must be looking forward to the big day, whenever that may be, as she said of her future brother-in-law: “I love him.”
But Daddy Cyrus caused our achy breaky hearts to break a little more, as he followed up with another post advising fans “not to jump the gun” on his earlier vague, but joyful comments.
The former Disney star and the Australian actor first started dating after initially meeting on the set of 2010’s The Last Song. Liam proposed to Miley in 2012, but they called off the engagement in 2013.
Two years later, the couple rekindled their romance in late 2015, and soon after, Miley started wearing her very special (and super sparkly) engagement ring again.
