Noel Edmonds has revealed how he kept his stalker a secret, failing to report them to the police because he thought it was just ‘the price of fame’.
Speaking on This Morning, the Deal Or No Deal presenter confessed that he is yet to report the individual who he says has been harassing him since the early 1970s.
“If you are watching now, please stop because this is only going to end very unpleasantly for you because I will have to go to the police,” he said, addressing his abuser.
Noel told hosts Ruth Langsford and Ben Shepherd how the woman has been ‘terrorizing’ him and bombarding him with ‘intimate emails’ accusing him of having an affair with her and threatening to sell the ‘story’ to the press.
He says how she also tried to damage his car in attempt to get his attention. However, he chose to keep the incident private as to ‘not bother’ the police.
The presenter made his original admission that he has a stalker in a tweet of support to fellow TV host, Alex Jones, who recently took her own stalker to court.
“@MissAlexjones total support and sympathy Alex. I’ve got one now but am reluctant to bother the police #priceoffame,” he wrote.
A sentiment to which Alex replied urging him to seek help: "Thanks Noel. So glad that it’s sorted now. I hope your situation can be fixed too.”
He then wrote: “Thank you. I appreciate your kind thoughts. I’m seeking prof advice.”
