Noel Gallagher breaks silence on Oasis reunion rumours with teasing message for fans
Oasis fans' excitement reached fever pitch this Monday after both Gallagher brothers hinted that a major announcement is coming tomorrow morning.
Noel Gallagher broke his silence over growing rumours of the band's reunion when the singer shared a short clip on X featuring an important date in the style of the familiar Oasis white-on-black logo. And brother Liam tweeted the same familiar logo: a white rectangular box with a black block in the centre and, in place of the band's name, the date 27.08.24.
The box then flickers and changes to read '8am' - teasing that a big announcement is due at that time tomorrow and further fuelling speculation that a Oasis reunion really is on the cards. Neither brother mentioned the other in their posts but adding to fans' hopes is the fact that a special 30-year anniversary edition of the band's debut album Definitely Maybe is set for release on Friday.

As The Mirror reports, many have been quick to respond to the tweet, with messages such as: "Both Noel & Liam's accounts synchronised the posting of this. Suddenly I feel 21 again!" and "Already in the queue for tickets!" One wrote: "This has potential to be the best week of all time" while another said: "The greatest band of all time back together."
The buzz continues after Liam appeared to fuel Oasis reunion speculation with a cryptic response to the Wembley Stadium gig rumour, while industry insiders are also apparently suggesting that other shows could be on the cards at Manchester and even Glastonbury. Ever since the band split in 2009, fans have been keeping fingers crossed for a reunion of the pair - famed for creating much of the Britpop backdrop to the nineties with hits such as Wonderwall, Don't Look Back In Anger and Stop Crying Your Heart Out - despite the well-known animosity between the brothers.
Liam's earlier responses to discussions on social media about potential reunion date announcements included "Next Friday" and, affirming his commitment to music, he tweeted on Sunday morning that he "never did like that word FORMER". The rock star has spent the summer touring the UK on a Definitely Maybe tour and during gigs dedicated the song Half The World Away to his brother, stating that he's "still playing hard to get".
A source is reported to have told The Sun: "Noel and Liam are never going to be the best of friends but they want to bring Oasis back for the fans. They aren’t getting any younger and the demand is huge.
"They decided it was now or never. Noel dug his heels in for a long time but has finally caved and agreed to return. He spoke to Liam on the phone and they are on the same page. They know this reunion will go down in music history."
