Noel Gallagher didn't try 'normal' food item until his 30th birthday - and now he loves it
Noel Gallagher has unveiled a quirky tidbit about his culinary experiences. By the time he turned 30, Gallagher had seen immense success, with two chart-topping albums'Definitely Maybe' and '(What's the Story) Morning Glory?' as well as notching up two number one singles, including the iconic 'Wonderwall', released a couple of years earlier.
Yet, it wasn't legendary rock fame, but the approach of his 30th birthday in 1997 that led him to sample something new. On the 'Table Manners' podcast hosted by Jessie and Lennie Ware, now 57 year old Noel recounted an egg-centric revelation.
Noel described how his mother, Peggy, would prepare meals reminiscent of her origins in County Mayo, Ireland, leading him to say: "It was all Irish cooking which was like stews. I never had a boiled egg until I was 31.", reports the Manchester Evening News.

Celebrating his milestone birthday, Noel considered a friend's advice: "That's a true story. I was throwing my 30th birthday and someone said 'you know, you should try something you've never tried before on your 30th birthday' and I thought 'I've never had a boiled egg'."
Consequently, he indulged in a classic British meal of a boiled egg with toast, an experience that changed his stance on eggs as he admitted, "So I had a boiled egg and soldiers. And now I eat eggs like they're going out [of fashion]."
The guitarist expressed his delight at dietary changes recommended by nutritionists around the consumption of eggs. Until the early 2000s, leading health bodies were quite conservative with their guidelines regarding eggs in balanced diets.
The British Heart Foundation has updated their guidance, indicating that there's no need to limit egg consumption as part of a balanced diet, since eggs are "low in saturated fat".
Noel Gallagher reveals that he now enjoys the food item daily, pairing two eggs with two slices of toast.
Opening up about his love for the breakfast staple, Noel said: "I love them. Particularly that point a few years ago when they said 'do you know what they don't actually give you cholesterol', I was like right, crack on with the f****** eggs then."
In music news, legendary rock band Oasis, which includes the famous brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, is set to reunite next year. They are expected to perform in several cities including Manchester, London, Cardiff, Edinburgh, and Dublin.
