Noel Gallagher and more than 3,000 others have paid a moving tribute to those who were lost one year ago in the Manchester Arena bombing.

The former Oasis singer was one of many famous faces to send in video messages to the thousands gathered at Albert Square to attend the Manchester Together - With One Voice event, in commemoration of the solemn anniversary on Tuesday (May 22).

One of the most powerful moments came when Noel introduced a choir to sing his song 'Don't Look Back in Anger', which became a rallying cry after 22 people were killed in a terrorist bombing during Ariana Grande's concert on May 22, 2017.

The choir were also joined by a crowd of thousands to sing Grande's 'One Last Time', and watched video messages from famous faces like ex-Manchester United ace Ryan Giggs, The Stone Roses' Mani, Johnny Marr of The Smiths and many others.

"I wish I was with you tonight," Marr reportedly said in his video. "My heart is always going to be in Manchester, always has been and always will be. I am proud to be a Mancunian. I am sure it will be an emotional occasion."

Earlier in the day, Ariana Grande paid tribute to those lost one year ago as well as the survivors by tweeting that she's thinking of them "all today and every day".

"I love you with all of me and am sending you all of the light and warmth I have to offer on this challenging day," she added.

In a candid interview last week, the popstar broke down into tears as she discussed the lingering trauma of surviving the terrorist attack.

"There are so many people who have suffered such loss and pain," she stressed. "The processing part is going to take forever."
