Noel Gallagher To Adopt A Rescue Dog This Christmas

He might have a reputation for being one of the hardmen in the music industry, but Oasis star Noel Gallagher has revealed his softer side this festive season.

Speaking in a new interview, the 48-year-old revealed his family’s plans to adopt a rescue dog from a shelter at Christmas - and even though he tried to act as though he’s not impressed, he later admitted that he was absolutely “chuffed”.

Noel explained: “I’m going to try and avoid any Christmassy things.

"I’m moving house Christmas week, and I’ve been conned into getting a dog. We’re getting a rescue dog, so we’re saving it from Death Row, which I’m going to be pointing out a lot to him over his life.

"It’s a Jack Russell crossed with a Pincher. He’s already got a name, he’s called Tommy, Tommy Rocker.

"I’m pretty chuffed actually.”

Noel isn’t the only tough man to showcase his love for man’s best friend this week, with it being reported on Thursday that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson had donated $1,500 to save a pup named after him from death.

The actor was alerted to poor puppy Dwayne’s plight by actress, Michelle Trachtenberg, and the actor thanked her for letting him know so that he was able to help.

In short, there is nothing quite like a man who loves animals, is there?
