A popular pub reopens today. The Black Horse, in Endon, closed suddenly last week.

It came weeks after a court heard landlady Georgina Smith had reduced one of her employees to tears. That led the employee's son to confront Georgina with his three-minute rant landing him in North Staffordshire Justice Centre.

Georgina had swapped her NHS career for a new life in the hospitality industry when she took over the Black Horse in 2023. It followed the retirement of long-serving licensees Malcolm and Janette Allen.

Now the Black Horse is reopening 'under new management'.

In a social media post to drinkers, the Leek Road venue stated: "We cannot wait to reopen the doors again on Saturday 30 November to you all. Please join us as we relaunch with a bang."
