A North Wales Police car was involved in a crash yesterday (Sunday). The collision involving a Volvo V90 squad car and a Citroen C3 happened on Wrexham Road in Eccleston.

A force spokesperson said: "We were called at 1.20pm yesterday (Sunday, July 7th) to a report of a collision involving a police car (Volvo V90) and a Citroen C3 on Wrexham Road in Eccleston. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were recovered and the road was cleared shortly after 4.30pm."

Motorists had been urged not to join the A483 southbound at Wrexham Road, after the crash. North Wales Police had tweeted: "Drivers are requested not to join the Southbound A483 at Wrexham Road, as the junction is closed due to a road traffic collision. Thank you - North Wales Police."
