North Wales Police theft warning to owners of specific car brand and they may pull them over
Police have issued a warning to the owners of a specific car brand being targeted by thieves. North Wales Police said that Ford Fiesta vehicles are on the hitlist - particularly ST's.
There is a reason they are being selected by crooks but police said they couldn't reveal additional details. Officers also told drivers of these vehicle to be aware that they could be pulled over to check the vehicle has not been stolen.
They shared tips to keep the cars safe.

North Wales Police said: "Ford Fiesta’s particularly ST’s are being targeted for theft. They are being targeted nationally and there have been incidents within Flintshire North.
"This is due to advances in the tactics used by thieves and due to changes in their production.
"We can’t reveal sensitive intelligence regarding the theft strategy in case we give people ideas, however we are urging owners to utilise a Steering Wheel Lock and faraday boxes for their keys. If you have a tracker ensure it is activated and operational.
"We noted a similar trend with Navara’s and issued a similar message, we also stopped a number of Navara’s in the area – If you are a Fiesta owner, you may be temporarily inconvenienced by a police stop this is so we can ensure vehicles are not stolen. Please share to spread the message and deter opportunistic thefts.
