Northern Ireland Secretary ‘determined to avoid fresh Stormont elections’

Northern Ireland Secretary Shailesh Vara said he is determined to avoid a fresh Stormont election in the autumn during a visit to the Atlas Women's Centre in Lisburn, Co Antrim. Mr Vara also said a claim that he asked officials whether he needed a passport to go to Londonderry was “utter and absolute nonsense”.
