What are the best iPhone camera settings?
According to Newcastle-based photographer @wil_photography, there are some settings you should change to improve quality. The most important thing Wil notes, is to make sure your phone is set to night mode.
You should also try and focus your phone on a "distant bright star," by leaning your phone on something for around 10-15 seconds exposure, and by clicking on the screen to get the focal point.
He also suggests an app called nightcap camera for iPhone or Open camera for Android.
Where are the best places in Scotland to catch a sighting?
It is believed that generally remote regions that are away from light pollution in towns and cities are the best to sit and wait.
Therefore, if you are wanting to catch sight of the stunning skies, then you might need to pack a bag and travel a bit further out to some of the countries' more coastal and quiet locations in the North.
