Missing 15-year-old girl last seen in Houghton-le-Spring is found safe and well

A missing 15-year-old who was last seen in Houghton-le-Spring town centre has been found safe and well.

The teenager was last seen at 8.15am on Friday, although she has been in phone contact since then, and police were appealing for the public's assistance to find her.

On Wednesday morning police released an update saying the girl had been found safe and well
