Northumbria Police are searching for a missing teenager who was last seen in North Shields.

Layton Laws, 15, who has strong links to the Newcastle and North Tyneside areas, has been missing since Wednesday afternoon.

Inquiries are ongoing, with officers now asking anyone with information on the teenager's whereabouts to get in touch.

Police have described Layton as 5ft 10in-tall, with dark brown hair, short on the sides and longer on top.

Anyone who has information on Layton’s whereabouts is asked to contact Northumbria Police by calling 101, and quoting the following reference number: HRN M008555.
