'Not an Appointment I Wish to Miss': Lord Speaker Announces He'll Get COVID Vaccine

Peter Fowler, the Lord Speaker, conceded there were at least some advantages to being 82 years old, as he told the House of Lords on December 17 that he would have to leave for his appointment to receive the coronavirus vaccine.

“It is not an appointment I wish to miss,” the Lord Speaker said.

“Vaccinations save lives and I would urge anyone called forward to respond,” he said. Credit: Houses of Parliament via Storyful
