'Not in Front of the Hearse, Babe': Street Juggler's Choice of Audience Raises an Eyebrow

An intersection along the Liffey quays in Dublin regularly plays host to a busking juggler who jumps in front of stopped traffic for quick routines.

The presence of a hearse in the “front row” for a performance on July 9 amused singer Ciara Thompson, who recorded this clip from across the street.

She tweeted “not in front of the hearse babe” alongside the video, but the driver didn’t seem to mind, proffering some money to the intrepid performer.

Thompson later responded to calls on Twitter asking for a song about the scene. She responded with: “Please don’t juggle / in front of the hearse / you’re only gonna make my cryin’ worse / the undertaker / is takin’ me down / you’re not helping / bein’ a clown.” Credit: Ciara Thompson via Storyful
