'Not What Is Meant by Easing Out of Lockdown': Litter Strewn Across Park in Sheffield

Cleanup crews were dispatched to Endcliffe Park in Sheffield on March 31, after hundreds of people flocked to the sprawling grounds a day earlier following the easing of lockdown restrictions.

The park was covered in litter, including empty beer bottles and food packaging, after large crowds gathered there on Tuesday.

This footage, posted by Sheffield City Council, shows piles of litter strewn across the park on Wednesday morning. “We know people have missed socializing in the sun but this is not what is meant by easing out of lockdown,” the council said. Credit: Sheffield City Council via Storyful
