'Nothing suspicious' found following investigation in Kent woodland near M20

'Nothing suspcious' has been found after forensics and police officers investigated a woodland by an A-road in Kent near the M20. The A227 Gravesend Road was closed in both directions on Sunday (February 2) at around 11.45am and only reopened the following day.

Officers received a report of "possible suspicious activity". At the time a Kent Police spokesperson said officers and forensic experts were analysing an "unusual appearance" of the soil in nearby woodland.

But police has now confirmed that nothing suspicious has been discovered. A spokesperson told KentLive: "The area of woodland has been inspected by forensic experts and nothing suspicious has been found. "
