Seabass ceviche at Andina - £9

Andina’s love of this classic cured fish dish has travelled from the coasts of Peru to Notting Hill, all via its first home in Shoreditch. Chef Martin Morales’s Peruvian pitstop – styled after the informal “picanteria” restaurants run by Andean women in their homes – puts the national dish at its heart. The seabass is marinated in spiced amarillo tiger’s milk, and served with goldenberry, avocado and sweet potato.

Napoli at Saporitalia - £8.75

Yes, this is our second pizza on the list, but is it possible to have too much pizza? Saporitalia wouldn’t say so, a Notting Hill favourite set up by two Sorrento-hailing brothers who came to London just over 20 years ago. Take a trip to the spiritual home of pizza with the restaurant’s Napoli offering, which tops a chewy base with a fully flavoured tomato sauce, a salty mix of anchovies, capers and black olives, and parmesan cheese.

Honeycomb crunchie at The Shed - £6

image

Sweet dreams are made of honeycomb – at least they are at The Shed. This restaurant from the Gladwin Brothers sources as much veg, meat and herbs as it can from the family’s West Sussex farm, but this dessert makes a nod to a supermarket favourite. Homemade honeycomb is dipped in dark chocolate and served with whipped mascarpone and tarragon salt – that’s right, it’s a fancy Crunchie bar.
