Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has named his Nottingham Forest team to face Southampton in this afternoon’s Premier League clash.

The Reds kicked off their season with a 1-1 draw at home to Bournemouth last weekend. Chris Wood opened the scoring for Nuno’s side but they had to settle for a point on the banks of the Trent.

The match at the City Ground was marred by a horrible injury to midfielder Danilo. The Brazilian is set to undergo surgery on a broken ankle next week and faces a significant spell on the sidelines.

Danilo’s absence meant Nuno was always going to need to make at least one change to his XI on the south coast. As it is, he has made two to his starting line-up.

Elliot Anderson comes in for the injured Danilo and Nikola Milenkovic replaces Willy Boly. For both players it represents their full debut for the club.

Milenkovic will partner Murillo in the heart of the defence ahead of goalkeeper Matz Sels. Neco Williams and Ola Aina retain the full-back spots.

Anderson will line up alongside Ibrahim Sangare in midfield. Anthony Elanga, Morgan Gibbs-White and Callum Hudson-Odoi will provide attacking support for front man Chris Wood. The bench will be made up of Carlos Miguel, Taiwo Awoniyi, Andrew Omobamidele, Harry Toffolo, Nicolas Dominguez, Jota Silva, Eric da Silva Moreira, Ryan Yates and Boly.

Forest: Sels; Williams, Milenkovic, Murillo, Aina; Sangare, Anderson; Elanga, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Wood. Subs: Miguel, Awoniyi, Omobamidele, Toffolo, Dominguez, Jota, Moreira, Yates, Boly.
