Interest in Nottingham Forest ace Callum Hudson-Odoi appears to be growing ahead of the summer transfer window opening next month.

The Reds winger has already been linked with Tottenham Hotspur, who are said to be ready to pounce in the coming weeks. And it seems his excellent first season at the City Ground has also piqued the interest of other clubs.

Three unnamed Premier League teams have their eyes on Hudson-Odoi, according to Sky Sports. A Champions League side is said to be among the trio as Forest could face a fight to hang on to him.

The 23-year-old played a crucial role in the Reds securing top-flight survival. He notched up seven goals in 34 appearances in all competitions and particularly impressed towards the end of the campaign.

He will go down as one of the bargains of the season after Forest paid Chelsea an initial £3 million to sign him last summer. Spurs reportedly turned down the chance to land Hudson-Odoi at that time.

The Reds face having to let some players go this summer as they look to comply with financial regulations. They were docked four points during the season just gone for breaching Profitability and Sustainability Rules and will want to avoid being in the same situation again.

Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo said the club must learn lessons from their points deduction. The Portuguese expressed his frustration that PSR restrictions mean clubs can be forced into selling their best players, but he admitted interest in some of his young stars is inevitable.

Nuno said last weekend: “You have to realise that the way we finished this season, some players in our squad are going to attract interest, for sure. They are talented, they are young and they are in a good moment of their careers. You cannot control these things. We have to see what happens.

“It (PSR restrictions leading to players being sold) frustrates. But not only me, all the managers in the Premier League are for sure thinking the same.”

Hudson-Odoi penned a three-year contract when he joined the Reds. He is also said to have “multiple clubs across Europe” monitoring him.

The summer transfer window will open on Friday, June 14. It will close on Friday, August 30 at 11pm.
