A Nottingham park and ride site still has issues with damp and power around two weeks on from it having to close due to flooding. The Queen's Drive Park and Ride, used by NCT bus passengers, closed on January 6 due to a risk of flooding.

In its latest update, posted on Friday (January 18), Nottingham City Council, said: "Significant progress at Queens Drive. Power is mostly restored but a few issues remain with buildings still damp in places.

"More time is needed to ensure the power remains stable and to allow testing over the next few days. A further site review is planned for Monday."

The site, located off the banks of the River Trent, has regularly been forced to close due to flooding in recent years. Nottingham City Transport confirmed on Saturday morning that the site remained closed and highlighted its other park and ride site at the Racecourse.

CT4N's Medilink service continues to run whenever Queen's Drive is closed, operating between the Queen's Medical Centre and City Hospital, via Wilkinson Street. Tram park-and-ride sites are also available in Clifton, Toton Lane, The Forest, Hucknall, Moor Bridge, Phoenix Park and Wilkinson Street.
