Now I Get It: California’s new cash crop

Jan. 1, 2018, marks the official start of legal recreational marijuana sales in California. The legalization occurred back in 2016, when voters approved Proposition 64, also known as the Adult Use of Marijuana Act. But ever since it became law, legal recreational sales were put on hold until state lawmakers could decide on regulations and issue business licenses. Now that recreational marijuana sales will take effect, here are some of the conditions that the law imposes.
