Transport for Wales is now offering a three-course "mouth watering" Christmas menu on trains in Wales. On selected trains, passengers can feast on vegetable soup, stuffed Welsh turkey and traditional Christmas pudding with brandy sauce, which will be cooked by an onboard chef.

According to the train company, the three-course meal will be available in its first class service on Mark IV trains between north and south Wales, which are the services that run between Swansea and Manchester, as well as Cardiff and Holyhead. The Christmas menu will be available from Monday, December 2 until Friday, December 20. Find out about the latest events in Wales by signing up to our What's On newsletter here.

For the three-course meal, passengers can get the option of a vegetable soup or grilled goat cheese as a starter. For the main course, passengers can indulge on a Welsh turkey parcel, stuffed with sage, cranberry and sausage wrapped in bacon, served with seasonal vegetables, roast potatoes, pigs in blanket and gravy.

There are also vegetarian options on the menu, including a pan-seared salmon and a nut-less roast. And for dessert, passenger can get a traditional Christmas pudding served with a rich brandy sauce. Passengers can also get their hands on smaller dishes during their journey, with Transport for Wales offering festive bites such as crispy roast potatoes with a pot of rich gravy, or a festive burger which comes with bacon, melted brie and cranberry sauce.
