This year's Big Brother housemates are dropping like flies, as Dreamboy-turned-nightmare housemate Lotan Carter becomes the latest contestant to leave the house without being properly evicted.

In a statement, Channel 5 said: "Lotan has been removed from the Big Brother house and will not be returning.

"The events leading up to this will be shown in tonight's Big Brother at 10pm on Channel 5."

A clip uploaded to Facebook shows security step in as an argument breaks out in the house.

After throwing a water bottle that hits Chanelle, Lotan is called to the Diary Room but is blocked by some very angry housemates. Although we don't see security from the camera angles in the clip, we do see a hand leading Lotan up the stairs.

It's been a... let's say 'eventful' few days for Lotan. First, he had a huge row with Chanelle earlier in the week, and was seen on Saturday's Big Brother highlights show getting grumpy with Isabelle.

His behaviour had sparked bullying complaints from viewers, with Channel 5 responding with a statement saying: "Big Brother has strict protocols in place and will not tolerate behaviour from any housemate likely to cause offence in the house."

Then, last night, he was seen trying to break out of the house by smashing the lock off the garden exit door, only to change his mind and return to talk out how he'd been feeling in the Diary Room.

"I want to do my time like I intended to, so will leave when I'm asked to and not any time before," he said. "It just got a bit much and needed to get the hell away and I didn't see any other way out."

Lotan was one of the four housemates nominated for eviction this week, but his early exit from the house follows those of Arthur Fulford, who left the house of his own accord, and Kayleigh Morris, who was also removed from the house by Big Brother last week.

Big Brother continues tonight (June 25) at 10pm on Channel 5.
