NTA winners 2020 in full: Ant and Dec win 19th Best Presenter trophy as host David Walliams is crowned Best Judge

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly received their 19th consecutive Best Presenter trophy at the National Television Awards.

The Geordie presenting duo have won the prestigious award every year since 2001.

Accepting the award, McPartlin said that they felt "more grateful and more humble as the years go on" and thanked fans "from the bottom of our hearts."

The pair also headed on stage to mark I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here's win in the Best Entertainment Programme category, which they dedicated to the people of Australia following the devastating bush fires.

First-time host David Walliams also had a triumphant night, beating his fellow Britain's Got Talent star Simon Cowell to the best TV judge award.

Accepting the gong without wearing trousers, he joked: "This is the moment I will be remembered for. When I die, which I will, they will show this clip on the news - me in my pants at the O2."

Little Mix star Jesy Nelson gave an emotional speech as she received the trophy for Factual Entertainment Show for her BBC Three documentary Odd One Out.

Nelson opened up about her appalling experiences with online trolling in the special film for the BBC’s online channel, which went on to break streaming records for the platform.

The tearful singer described the win as “overwhelming” and thanked her boyfriend Chris Hughes, who also appeared in the film, for “bringing [her] up every day and making [her] feel confident.”

Olly Murs and Sir Tom Jones introduced the cast of Gavin and Stacey to the stage as they received the Impact Award for their contribution to television.

Co-creator Ruth Jones channelled her iconic character Nessa in her acceptance speech before hailing the BBC as "the best public broadcaster in the world" and thanking the people of Barry Island for their "warm welcome" to the cast.

Sir Michael Palin also gave an emotional speech as he was awarded the Special Recognition honour, dedicating his win to his late Monty Python co-star Terry Jones, who died last week.
