The National Television Awards 2019 live ceremony got off to a bit of a rocky start just minutes after getting underway tonight (January 22), as Zoe Ball suffered a bit of an awkward moment during the announcement of the first award.

The Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two host was on hand to present the nominees for Best Entertainment Show, but it wasn't long before she managed to get a little bit ahead of the tech guys and started announcing the next name while a video clip of Great British Bake Off was still running.

She then paused and waited until the clip was completely finished before revealing the next nominee – Paul O'Grady: For The Love of Dogs, who happened to be the actual winner, in case you were wondering – but Zoe's unexpected blip didn't go unnoticed from viewers at home.

Maybe it's down to those new early mornings after starting in her new position as Radio 2 Breakfast Show host, eh?

If that is Zoe's excuse it's a good one, but there must be something in the air as later in the evening, actor Danny DeVito managed to make a bit of blunder of his own by not quite knowing what it is he was supposed to be doing.

The It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star was there to present the award for Best Drama Performance, but as the clips began rolling, Danny wasn't sure whether or not he had to introduce each person.

"Do you want me to say the names?" he could be heard saying while Richard Madden's performance in Bodyguard played. "They told me not to say the names."

Don't worry – he then said the names.

Well, at least we know it's definitely live, right?
