Nuisance neighbours kicked out after caravan used as drugs den
Residents are once again living in peace after police took legal action to shut a trouble-plagued home. Families living in Foden Street, Stoke, say the neighbourhood is now quiet following a year of unrest.
Among the issues included drugs being sold from the property, a caravan parked on a nearby green space and individuals using alleyways as a toilet. Staffordshire Police secured the closure order on Wednesday, September 11.
The order prevents anyone from accessing the property for three months. Warning signs have gone up saying anyone trying to enter the address will face prosecution.

Residents on nearby Nursery Street revealed what life had been like. One resident said: “It got really bad. They had had a caravan parked in the middle of the green and they were selling drugs between the house and the caravan, it was horrific.
“They had a security camera on the back that was obviously keeping an eye on the caravan because the two were clearly linked to each other. At tea time all the druggies would come and sit outside and it was getting to the point where it was just horrific.”
Another resident added: “It got to the point where people were scared to go on to the green because there were needles everywhere. You could see them come along and try the car handles to see if they were open.
“Since they’ve gone it’s quiet and peaceful, hopefully it stays that way. I’ve seen one of them use the alleyway to have a poo in and the police were called to get rid of him.”
Staffordshire Police have been approached for comment.
