'Number of drivers' caught in A34 police sting
Police have caught 'a number of drivers' ignoring the speed limit on a busy North Staffordshire road. Cops set up on the A34 on its stretch in Newcastle.
Officers with Staffordshire Police's road crime team (RCT) monitored Talke Road where the limit is 40mph. The road is under the national speed limit from the junction with the A500 - before dropping to 40mph before the Parkhouse Road East and West roundabout.
Cops carried out the sting yesterday (January 13) and shared some of the readings online with one motorist caught out at 60mph. It has been a busy start to the year for the RCT.
