A bid for a late-night booze licence has been made for Nuneaton's new Hampton by Hilton hotel. As well as 145 beds, the new hotel on the old Co-op car park will have a 'hub bar' within the glass fronted ground floor.

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has received a number of licensing applications for the hotel. One of them asks for the green light for a late-night refreshments licence.

This is for Monday to Sunday, 24 hours a day, and the supply of alcohol licence, for on and off the premises, would be for Monday to Sunday, from midnight until 11.59pm.

There is also an application for a new premises licence for recorded music and films, indoors. Again, this is for Monday to Sunday, from midnight until 11.59pm.

The applications come as the £20m hotel is set to open soon. At the last time of asking both Hampton by Hilton and Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council said that the hotel would be ready by the 'summer'.
