It’s a flush of success at Tops Day Nurseries in Wareham, where the Investigators class has made a clean break from nappies.

The nursery on Carey Road, announced the successful implementation of their new toilet training project, with all children in the 2023/24 Investigators class now fully potty trained.

Danielle Hewitt, nursery manager at Wareham, said: “This achievement is a testament to the dedication of the nursery’s staff, the support of parents, and the effectiveness of the innovative approach taken by the nursery.

"We are so proud that all of our children in our Investigators room are fully potty trained. This is such a big achievement to celebrate, and I am very proud of my team, along with having the support of our parents to be able to achieve this milestone."

The project, which focused on encouraging early toilet training, has been a resounding success, with the 2024/25 investigators room now beginning this journey. By fostering a supportive environment and working closely with parents, the team at Wareham has been able to help children reach this important developmental milestone at an early stage.

Danielle further emphasised the benefits of early toilet training; "By making sure children are potty trained at an early stage, we help to promote their self-esteem and bring children independence and confidence."
