NYC Pride Marchers Protest Gun Violence

The activism group Gays Against Guns were out in full force at the New York City Pride parade on Sunday, June 25.

This footage shows a group singing and holding a banner that reads “GAYS AGAINST GUNS.”

Other marchers at the parade honored the memory of the Pulse nightclub victims and performed a “die in” in protest of firearms.

The 2017 march, which is held to mark the anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, carried the theme of “We Are Proud,” and, like other Pride parades this month, aimed at highlighting what participants see as “new pressure on gay rights,” according ABC.
