Oakland Teachers Strike, Call For Higher Pay and Smaller Classes

Teachers from Oakland’s United School District picketing on the streets on Thursday, February 21, calling for higher pay and more resources, according to local media.

Local media “reported” that around 3,000 teachers were expected to join the labor action, leaving the district’s 37,000 pupils without instructors.
