The Gallagher brothers are set to announce a full UK Oasis reunion at 8am tomorrow. But not all the rumours about the band's tour - following their reconciliation - are true.

Liam and Noel will announce a tour which will see them performing in their home city of Manchester, as well as London, Ireland, Wales and Scotland.

But it's understood rumours that they will headline the Glastonbury Festival are untrue - as are claims they will also be performing 10 nights at Wembley Stadium.

Sources claim the previously warring Gallagher brothers teamed up for a photoshoot after officially burying the hatchet and will take to the stage together next summer.

The Mirror reports it comes after Liam's slot at Reading Festival, where he performed the group's 1994 album Definitely, Maybe to mark its 30th anniversary.

The 51-year-old teased the announcement and dedicated the track Half The World Away to his big brother Noel, 57. To promote the tour, the estranged brothers have spent a photoshoot session together.

That marks the first time the pair have reunited since Noel quit the group 15 years ago, announcing he could not work "a day longer" with baby brother Liam.

At the time, he lashed out saying he had been subjected to "verbal and violent intimidation" after the pair had rowed backstage in Paris on August 28, 2009, when Noel claimed Liam picked up a guitar and swung it while "wielding it like an axe".

The pair have frequently exchanged insults in the interim, with Noel describing Liam at various times as "angry". However, rumours that a reunion could be on the cards swirled after Noel, 57, suggested he was open to the idea if Liam contacted him.

He said: "You should never say never, but it would take an extraordinary set of circumstances. That's not to say those circumstances would never come about."

But earlier this year, Liam claimed Noel had rejected another offer to perform as Oasis again. He said: "I did call him. Well, my people called Noel's management team. We put an offer on the table for an Oasis thing - because we got offered it - and he said no."

In January, Noel divorced Sara MacDonald, who Liam would frequently refer to as a "witch" and has previously claimed was the reason the group were no longer together.

After splitting from Sara, Noel gave an interview that saw him offer some rare praise to his brother, saying: "When I would sing a song, it would sound good. When he sung it, it sounded great. I can't sing 'Cigarettes & Alcohol', 'Rock'n'Roll Star' and all that.

"I don't have the same attitude as him. My voice is half a Guinness on a Tuesday — it's all right. Liam's is ten shots of tequila on a Friday.

"What he did was inspire the kids at the front to do something, do you know what I mean? 'If he can do it, I can do it'. And he's still doing that now."

In 1996 the group performed to 250,000 people over two nights at Knebworth. Their popularity has remained throughout their hiatus, and they still currently have 21 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
