Oasis leave 'devastated' fans heartbroken with pre-sale update as many miss out

Oasis broke many fans hearts on Friday, when they confirmed that all the e-mails to fans lucky enough to get access to the reunion tour pre-sale had been sent, five hours before the intended deadline.

As soon as the Definitely Maybe hitmakers announced earlier this week that they are getting back together for some summer 2025 dates, excitement has gone through the roof, with the original list of 14 dates growing to 17, after the addition of extra gigs in Manchester, London and Edinburgh on Thursday.

It was quickly confirmed that the general sale for Oasis 2025 tickets would begin at 9am on Saturday, August 31 (8am for Dublin) but then on Tuesday it was revealed that a pre-sale would be happening, as legions of fans clamoured to sign up. The huge spike in interest saw a delay in confirmation e-mails being sent out, as people waited to find out if they'd successfully entered the ballot.

Apologising for any delays, Oasis announced on Thursday that the deadline for people to find out if they'd made the pre-sale was 5pm on Friday. However, just after 1pm, as many fans frantically refreshed their inboxes, a post went out on X and Instagram to confirm that all access code had been sent out.

The statement from the band read: "All ticket ballot codes have now been sent out to fans. Please do not buy a code or transfer them to someone else"

It added: "Codes only work with the registered email address. If you didn't get a code to access the pre-sale. You can join the general sale tomorrow morning"

That post was enough to dash the hopes of those who were ready to wait it out until 5pm in the hope they'd got lucky, as one replied: "Crying my heart out now thanks" as another wrote: "That's not the ticket ballot code news I wanted to hear!!" and a third, taking inspiration from one of Oasis' biggest hits, reacted: "already looking back in anger"
