Oasis' support act has been revealed with their upcoming tour across the UK and Ireland set to kick of soon. Set to join the legendary Manchester rockers is Richard Ashcroft, the ex-frontman of The Verve, turned solo artist and he will be joined by indie band, Cast as their other support act.

Sources close to Oasis confirmed both acts are set to warm up the stage during their long-awaited reunion next year, The Independent has revealed. An official statement is expected to be published soon with Cast taking to the stage first followed by Ashcroft.

A long-standing pal to Liam and Noel, Richard Ashcroft previously supported by Oasis back in 1993 when his band was called Verve. In homage to the Lancashire-born singer, Noel penned the song "Cast No Shadow" found on Oasis’s hit album (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?.

Following The Verve's third split in 2009, Ashcroft released six top 10 album and in 2021, he released 'Accoustic Hymns Vol 1' - an acoustic re-imagining of classics from both his solo and band career. In fact, the album included Liam and Ashcroft singing "C’mon People (We’re Making It Now)" hailing from his first solo venture, 'Alone With Everybody'.

Their other support act, Cast, were formed in Liverpool in 1992 by John Power after his departure from The La’s, and Peter Wilkinson, formerly of the band Shack. They rose to prominence during the mid-90s with albums including All Change and Magic Hour. The group however split back in 2001 but reunited in 2010. Their latest album, Love is the Call, dropped in February this year, securing a No 22 position in the UK charts.

Gallagher reportedly called watching Cast perform live a "religious experience" in an interview with them for the Daily Record and were part of the lineup for Oasis's legendary Knebworth concerts in 1996, which featured The Charlatans, Manic Street Preachers, and Dreadzone.

Oasis are set to kick off their long-awaited UK and Ireland tour from July 4, 2025 until September 28 of the same year. During their North American tour, their support act will be US rockers, Cage the Elephant, while the support act for their Australian gigs has yet to be announced.
