A police officer in Solano County, California, faced her worst fears on Thursday, July 13, when she removed a dead snake from a county roadway.
Deputy Coroner Amy Thurau, who is described by her colleagues as “as hard as nails and resilient to any critical incident, devastating crime scene or catastrophe”, squealed and squirmed as she cleared the large snake carcass from the middle of the road.
A video shared to the Solano County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page shows Thurau’s squeamish reaction to the roadkill. The clip had received 157,000 views at the time of writing. Credit: Solano County Sheriff’s Office via Storyful
