Officials Pay Tribute to Uvalde Victims at Houston City Council

Houston city officials paid homage to the 21 victims of the Robb Elementary School mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas, by displaying their photographs and backpacks at Houston City Hall on June 1.

Video shows seats at Houston City Council with photos of the 21 people killed in the May 24 shooting. Nineteen students and two teachers were killed when an 18-year-old gunman entered the school through an unlocked door, officials said.

The tribute was a collaborative effort made by “many of our City of Houston teams under the leadership of Mayor Turner,” a city representative told Storyful. Credit: COH Mayor’s Office of Communications/HTV Houston via Storyful
