Officials Warn More Rain on the Way in South Florida

As much as 7 inches of rain fell on parts of southeastern Florida on Wednesday, June 12, with more on the way, the National Weather Service (NWS) warned.

Between 5 and 7 inches of rain had fallen in southern Broward and northern Miami-Dade counties as of 2:09 pm, with an additional 2 to 4 inches possible in the warned area, according to the NWS.

A flood watch would remain in effect into Thursday evening.
