'Oh, I Believe in Quarantine': Indiana Singer Parodies Beatles' 'Yesterday' for the Coronavirus Age

Pamela Meadows Edwards, a resident of Columbus, a city in central Indiana, has charmed audiences on Facebook with a quarantine-themed parody of The Beatles’ Yesterday, perfectly attuned to the age of COVID-19.

Posted on March 30, the clip has racked up over 2,000 views and 150 comments, with commentators praising Edwards’s singing ability, asking her to take requests, and delighting in the surprise cameo of “Ringo” – or rather, Edwards’s husband – in the background.

According to local Indiana paper The Republic, Edwards was a member of an all-female Christian rock band in the 1980s. Credit: Pamela Meadows Edwards via Storyful
