Oklahoma 'killer' fugitive 'posts Facebook Live updates'

A man suspected of shooting two police officers, before stealing a patrol car and then killing his aunt and uncle, has apparently posted updates on Facebook Live while on the run.

Authorities are searching for Michael Vance after his alleged rampage began on Sunday night in Wellston, Oklahoma.

Vance, 38, is said to have fired at two Lincoln County officers as they responded to a report of a shooting in the town, 35 miles north-east of Oklahoma City.

One man was arrested at the scene, but Vance allegedly fled after being shot and took a patrol vehicle before apparently opening fire on a woman and stealing her vehicle at a mobile home park near Wellston.

He then drove about eight miles to the home of his uncle and aunt in Luther and killing them, Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office spokesman Mark Opgrande said.

Vance, from Chandler, Oklahoma, had allegedly tried to decapitate 55-year-old Ronald Everett Wilkson and Valerie Kay Wilkson, 54, with a knife.

Authorities believe Vance filmed two Facebook Live videos documenting being on the run from police before going to the Wilksons' home.

In one video, a man in a baseball cap worn backwards and a shirt that appears to be covered in blood said he was about to steal another vehicle and that it was "gonna be intense".

In another, the man said: "Letting y'all know, look, this is real," before panning to a long gun on the passenger seat in what seems to be a second vehicle.

He said: "If you want to know what's up next, stay tuned to your local news."

A bloodied shirt found at his relatives' home was the same one he was apparently wearing in the video as he complained "it hurts", according to authorities.

Mr Wilkson, had been shot and had stab wounds to his neck "consistent with an attempt to sever his head", while Mrs Wilkson, 54, had similar neck wounds along with wounds on her arms.

Investigators found a large knife covered in blood inside the house, along with two shell casings from a round typically fired from an AK-47-style assault rifle.

Vance was last seen early on Monday 30 miles from the Texas border in western Oklahoma - 165 miles away from where the manhunt began - after allegedly shooting a man in the leg in an attempted carjacking at a shop in Sayre.

Court records show Vance is also facing felony charges of child sexual abuse in Lincoln County, and had a court hearing scheduled for 7 November.

Vance is described as Native American, 5ft 11in tall and weighing 212lbs.

He was believed to be driving a silver 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse with an Oklahoma licence plate of 943LQQ.
