Oklahoma Police Officer Gives Breakfast, Money to 'Down on His Luck' Veteran

A police officer in Moore, Oklahoma – part of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area – helped out a fellow military veteran who was “down on his luck” by bringing him breakfast and giving him extra money on July 7.

This video shows Moore Police Department Sgt Dustin Schultz, who is a US Army veteran, bringing the man a bag of food. The police department said the man was found sleeping in his car at Central Park in Moore. In the video, Schultz also gives the man extra money, encouraging him to use it for food and gas.

The police department said Schultz was “caught doing good” as the act of kindness was captured by one of the other officers’ body cameras. Credit: Moore Police Department via Storyful
