Ola Jordan claims celebs can get ‘too excited’ on Strictly

Talk about too much information.

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Ola Jordan has lifted the lid on one of the yuckier aspects of her time on the show, claiming that male celebrities often get a little bit “over-excited” during the sexier dance routines.

Ew.

The 33-year-old ballroom star says the guys are given advice during rehearsals on how to avoid getting physically turned on – but it doesn’t always make a difference.

“Celebs are not used to having such intimate contact and aren’t sure how to deal with it,” she explained. “In ballroom dancing the man has to press his right side to the woman, and all professional male dancers know they have to ‘dress to the left’ when they are preparing to dance, as you connect right side to right side with your partner.

“The woman can feel absolutely everything – and I mean everything. If the man hasn’t ‘dressed to the left’ there is a danger he might get a bit excited, especially if he has to rub up against the woman during the routine.”

Dear God, NOOOOOOO!

“I’ll never forget the first time,” Ola added. “’Oh dear’, I thought, ‘that shouldn’t be there!’ I didn’t feel able to say anything and tried to carry on as if nothing had happened, and the celeb did too.

“On another occasion with a partner I felt more comfortable with, I decided to make a bit of a joke of it. ‘Did you leave your mobile phone in your pocket?’ I teased. We both laughed.

“I think that’s the best way if you feel able to. ‘Put your willy in the right place!’ was something else I said, but only with the partners I got on really well with.”

Come on, name names Ola. We’re not sure we’ll be able to look at Strictly in the same way ever again.
