An old Meghan Markle comedy pilot is apparently getting released
A comedy pilot shot in 2011 called The Boys and Girls Guide to Getting Down, starring now Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle, Max Greenfield, and Adam Pally is going to be aired.
In an interview on The Late Late Show, Greenfield said that he’d shot the pilot almost a decade ago, and recently got an email saying it had been bought. He also revealed that shooting the pilot did spark a friendship between him and Markle, “had I known I would have maybe played my cards a little differently,” joking that Corden was invited to last year’s royal wedding, and he wasn’t.
According to the shows’ IMDB, it was about “a night of partying in L.A. Funny & somewhat outrageous, gives partiers helpful tips about which substances should not be mixed, how to approach potential hook-ups, avoid undesirables & basically have a good time without completely destroying yourself.” It was based on an independent film, and Markle is listed as playing “Dana.” It is unclear where or when the pilot will appear.
Before her marriage to Prince Harry, Markle appeared in a number of television shows and films; along with her long-running character of Rachel Zane in Suits, she also appeared in Get Him To The Greek and Horrible Bosses. She said she was stopping her acting career when she announced her engagement.
Markle is currently pregnant with her first child and currently taking a break from royal duties ahead of the birth. Greenfield is starring in TV series The Neighbourhood.
