The first lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, appeared today before the US Congress with a clear request to the country's authorities: to send more weapons with which to continue defending itself against Russia."I am asking you for something I would never have liked to do. I am asking for weapons, not to declare war on another territory, but to protect our home and the right to live in it," Zelenska said on Capitol Hill. Her speech came on the same day that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov claimed that the objectives of Russia's self-styled "special military operation" in Ukraine have changed and now include not only the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, but also other areas.
