Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley among those nominated for Oscars 2022
THE Power of the Dog and Dune swept the nominations for the Oscars, which were announced today (Tuesday, February 8).
Both films earned multiple nominations for technical awards such as Editing, Production Design as well as Best Picture.
However, Dune director Denis Villeneuve missed out on a Best Director nomination, unlike The Power of the Dog director Jane Campion.
Kenneth Branagh's semi-autobiographical film Belfast also did well with nominations for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay, as well as with acting nominations for Judi Dench and Ciaran Hinds.
