Olivia Culpo responds to stylist's wedding dress critique

Newlyweds Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey have responded to a fashion stylist's critique of Olivia's wedding dress.

The former Miss Universe walked down the aisle in Watch Hill, Rhode Island on Saturday 29 June wearing a long-sleeve crew neck ball gown with a voluminous skirt and a 16-foot lace veil.

Stylist Kennedy Bingham gave her verdict on the look in a social media video in which she declared the dress had "no personality".

She also criticised Olivia's desire to dress modestly on her wedding day and her decision to work with Dolce & Gabbana, who have come under fire over the years for making offensive remarks.

The 32-year-old responded in the comments underneath the TikTok video, writing, "Wow what an absolutely evil person you are, I hope no one ever tears you apart in this way because it's extremely hurtful. I love this dress and it was everything I ever wanted and more."

She added, "Are you saying I'm racist, homophobic and misogynistic because of my wedding dress? So the MILLIONS of people who wear DG are all racist and homophobic? What a bizarre human you are."

The model also denied Kennedy's claim that she had lash extensions or eyebrow lamination before her big day.

Olivia's new husband, American football player Christian, also hit back in the Instagram comments, telling the style influencer, "What an evil thing to post online. I hope you can find joy and peace in the world, the way my beautiful wife does."

In addition to the wedding gown, Dolce & Gabbana also made Olivia a Grecian-style welcome party dress, an ethereal off-the-shoulder reception gown and a strapless minidress for the after-party.

Olivia and Christian began dating in 2019 and became engaged in 2023.
