Dunne took to social media on Sunday, July 7, to congratulate her beau, who also played for LSU before making it to the MLB.
Sharing a post from LSU Baseball announcing Skenes' selection, Dunne wrote, "He's an ALL STAR," and tagged him on her Instagram Stories.
A second post from Dunne showed how the athletic couple celebrated, complete with a cheese pizza and a bottle of champagne. The photo also showed a balloon display that spelled out "ALL STAR."
According to CNN, Skenes' selection makes him the first MLB player to earn an All-Star nod in the season after getting drafted first overall.

In a video shared by the Pirates on X (formerly Twitter), Skenes reacted to the "cool" news with his teammates. “I’m just grateful for all you guys,” Skenes told his team. “Since the first day I’ve been here, I’ve been a part of the team. So, I couldn’t have done it without you guys.”
Dunne and Skenes met through mutual acquaintances as student-athletes at LSU. They first sparked dating rumors when Dunne was seen wearing his jersey at the College World Series in June 2023.
Two months later, Skenes confirmed his relationship with the gymnast during an interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Dunne has been a strong supporter of her boyfriend's baseball career. When Skenes made his MLB debut with the Pittsburgh Pirates and in May, she told PEOPLE she "definitely" wants to attend as many of his games with the team as possible.

Skenes is an equally supportive boyfriend to the LSU gymnast. When Dunne and her team won the NCAA gymnastics championship in April, she told PEOPLE he was the first person she called to celebrate the victory.
"I just wanted to fill him in on what just happened because I know he just won a national championship at LSU," Dunne said. "He understands all the feelings so I just wanted to call him and just tell him what it was like."
