Welcome to Plathville's Olivia Plath is not budging when it comes to moving forward with divorce proceedings from ex Ethan Plath.
In PEOPLE's exclusive look at the July 23 episode of the TLC series, Olivia and Ethan sit down to discuss how they're going to handle the future of their separation. While Ethan struggles to accept the idea of a divorce, Olivia is eager to get the documents prepared.
“I don't know how to just keep moving forward and living single lives and not file,” she says.
“But I didn't want that,” Ethan points out.

“Being back around Ethan makes me emotional because he's not doing well at all,” she tells cameras in a confessional. “But I know that Ethan and I are not getting back together. I've moved on, I’m done, and I feel like Ethan’s indecision confirms my decision because the inconsistency that he's showing in what he says he wants, what he does, how he changes his mind.”
She continues: “That played a huge role in our marriage of so many inconsistencies and feeling loved and then not feeling loved, and feeling supported and not feeling supported, and it was just like a roller coaster.”

Ethan expresses frustration with Olivia’s ability to “move on so easily,” especially since he was expecting her to reconsider the end of their relationship.
“I don't know if it's necessarily moving on so easily as much as it is forcing myself to deal with everything and feel it all and get to the other side,” she explains.
But Ethan remains steadfast in his pleading, asking Olivia, "Are you sure we can't make this work?”
When she silently shakes her head no, he then says, “Could we wait like, a few more months on the divorce, just to see where we’re at?”
Again, Olivia stands her ground and shakes her head at Ethan as he holds his head in his hands and begins to cry.

Ethan PlathThe pair first announced their separation on Oct. 27, with Ethan sharing the news on his Instagram.
"Olivia and I have parted ways," Ethan shared in a post. "It just didn't work between us, though Lord knows we both gave it all we had. It seemed we were constantly pulling each other in opposite directions in life with different goals. I wish Olivia the best in the future ahead. I care for her deeply and always will."
In Olivia's post, she briefly looked back on their shared time together. "I have ambivalent memories of us being 18 years old, innocently dreaming of forever - but the partner you choose is a reflection of the world you want to live in, and at 18 I didn't know who I was or what kind of life I wanted to create for myself," she wrote.
"7 years later, I've already begun my journey of questioning, deconstructing and rebuilding and I know that is a process that I will continue to prioritize throughout my life," she added. "Thank you for the good times, Ethan. I wish the best for you."
